Soundwalks

Have you ever looked at a map and wondered what it might feel like to be there--wondered what happens there? Soundwalks.org is the future home of a community dedicated to the exploration of the world's rich sonic landscape, giving insight into activity and a sense of place. While nothing can beat actually traveling somewhere, soundwalks.org lets you listen in on places you may have never been, just as maps let you visualize them. Currently featured on the site is a collection of sounds of popular art and culture events in downtown Phoenix, and sounds will be recorded during the festival to give a snapshot of Arizona's largest gathering for independent performance.
