Shout at Mario

In "Shout at Mario" players use a flashlight to control the movement of the character, Mario, and make noise to control the specific action of the character. The goal is to have the highest score. To play the game:

  1. Move the flashlight UP and DOWN to control Mario.
  2. Shout to fire and kill all the coming enemies.

The game has several levels. As the levels become more difficult, the enemies speed up. Consequently, the players must move the flashlight faster and shout more frequently in order to keep up.

Artist Bio

Heng Chen is currently a Media Arts and Sciences Ph.D student at Arizona State University, advised by Prof. Aisling Kelliher. She earned a Bachelor degree of Engineering in Digital Media Arts and Technology from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing, China, 2009. Heng joined the Visualization Group at Peking University before she came to ASU and there she worked on social networks visualization. Heng is now a group member of Reflective Living, and her research focus is information visualization, including social networks visualization and HCI design.
